About The Center

The Center for Emergency Medicine is a multi-hospital consortium dedicated to the advancement of emergency medicine through research, education, air medical transport and quality care. Currently, the Center's member hospitals include University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Shadyside, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, UPMC Mercy Hospital, and Altoona Hospital.

OFFSITE COURSES!!!

We are happy to announce that the Center for Emergency Medicine of Western Pennsylvania, Inc., will be offering two community based EMS training programs. Both courses will follow the same curriculum as the Center’s program in Oakland, and many of the same high quality instructors that have made our training programs among the most well respected and successful programs in the country will teach in these offsite programs as well. more...
